Underwood Family Farms

Underwood Farms grows seasonal fruits and veggies on about 40 acres in Moorpark California. The farm offers year round U-Pick. Spring Break 2009 Palm Springs

The city of Palm Springs is having second thoughts about Spring Break. In the 1980s Mayor Sonny Bono cracked down on the public nudity and parties putting out the spring break flame in the desert city. Today it's a different story, tourism officials sent out 55,000 text messages to students from Santa Barbara to San Diego. The hope is to rekindle a warmer relationship with the spring break crowd.

Calico Ghost Town Camping

California Deserts Bloom Wildflower Season

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is starting to bloom with a colorful carpet of wildflowers. Brittlebush, chuparosa, popcorn flower, sand verbena, spectacle pod, and desert lily have popped up in recent days, according to the Anza-Borrego Foundation and Institute.
