Mojave National Preserve

Southern California is not all amusement parks and beaches. Most of this popular region of the state is desert. One of the largest expanses of desert is the Mojave National Preserve. Nearly 1.5 million acres was included in the California Desert Protection Act when it was became law in 1994. Other protected areas covered by the California Desert Protection Act include Death Valley National Park
