Southern California Winter Beach Scene
Amtrak train passes by San Clemente State Beach on January 31, 2009. Temperature is a cool 80 degrees, blue sky and people playing on the beach. Back east people are shoveling snow while out west it's time to work on a sun tan.

Neptune's Net Pacific Coast Highway Malibu
Neptune's Net restaurant has been serving diners fresh sea food along Pacific Coast Highway since 1958. The most popular dish here is fish and chips washed down with beer. Weekends the place fills up with bikers with the crowd evenly split between Harley's and road racers. Seacliff State Beach and Pier
The most unique feature about Seacliff State Beach is the 500-foot-long pier that connects to the old cement ship Palo Alto. The beach and pier sit in a corner of Monterey Bay known as Soquel Cove. The pier is popular for fishing and the wide sandy beach is good for swimming during the summer. Seacliff State Beach also has a park with a covered area for picnics.
